Our Kelowna branch is looking for talented individuals that want to pursue an exciting career in lighting. We are looking for a Showroom Sales Representative, and a Showroom Manager:

showroom salesThe sales environment in our spectacular Kelowna showroom is low pressure and our sales representatives are encouraged to spend time with customers and to develop a close relationship with contractors and builders.

The general duties include:

  • assisting homeowners, interior designers and builders with their lighting needs
  • presenting options from a wide range of products
  • preparing quotes for contractors and homeowners
  • expediting and following up on orders
  • responding to phone enquiries
  • attending product training sessions

  • and be creative and interested in design
  • must be able to work Saturdays

The Showroom Managers for Robinson Lighting are responsible for the direct sales and operating activities of the showroom with responsibility for achieving sales, margin, inventory and expense goals. Our Managers ensure customer satisfaction is achieved through operational excellence by hiring, developing, motivating and retaining showroom staff.

The general duties include:

  • developing and managing sales and operating budgets for the showroom
  • overseeing management of inventories within budget and maintenance of accurate inventory records
  • assisting on the sales floor as necessary
  • implementing internal and external customer service standards
  • creating, implementing, and supervising programs to drive sales and improve margins
  • implementing price, credit, and delivery policies
  • coaching sales staff
  • maintaining selling area sales floor is in optimal condition
  • recruiting and orientating of new branch staff
  • providing day-to-day leadership and direction to showroom staff
  • ensuring all staff follow company policies and procedures
  • maintaining a safe and healthy work environment

To be considered for this opportunity, you must possess:

  • Grade 12
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team
  • High level of commitment to customer service
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • good computer skills
