Home Renovation | Home Improvements with Lighting

Renovations can be a difficult process, which is why our Lighting Specialist are here to ensure the right lighting is chosen for your space, while being both aesthetically pleasing and functional.

In this particular renovation, our ALA Lighting Specialist, Rachel-Anne Murray, worked with her clients to create a warm and inviting abode. Rachel has been in the lighting industry for over five years and has been helping homeowners select lighting that suites their personal taste while being practical.

The fixtures chosen for this home has an overall open-concept feel that creates the illusion of a larger-open space. The exposed vintage bulbs also add a layer of interest, and the dark finishes of bronze and black pleasantly contrasts the lighter surroundings and stimulates a sense of warmth in each room.

The Signature foyer piece from Quoizel creates the initial impression of this home, offering lighting in the entrance way that spills over to the nearby living space. The tapered frames and vintage filament bulbs also add visual interest, while the Western Bronze finish offers a layer of warmth.

The same airy and open-concept aesthetic is carried over in the dining room, where the Anchor from Quoizel is featured. The Anchor has a sweeping arch in a rich walnut stained wood finish, detailed with a bronze metal braided rope.

Unlike the other fixtures chosen for this home, the Handford vanity light from Sea Gull is designed with tapered etched glass to conceal the bulbs. However, the same sweeping arch design is present, giving a small nod to the open-concept feel. The fixture is also finished in burnt sienna, integrating the warm tones from the previous rooms.
