This is the perfect time to stock up on LED bulbs if you are considering switching to LED. Save up to 40% off on select energy start certified LED bulbs from Satco and Standard Lighting. Choose from 2700K (warm white) and 3000K (soft white/neutral) colour temperature LED bulbs that are pleasant on the eyes and make for great ambiance. The available bulbs also come in a range of styles, from the standard A19 to more directional bulbs such as MR16’s.
Select Energy Star certified fixtures from Dals, Standard, Wac, and Liteline will also be part of the hydro rebate, with savings of $10.00 off. There is also a variety of styles to choose from that are perfect for any room such as a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, laundry room, or hallway.
You can also expect select dimmers switches from Legrand and Lutron in our October Hydro Rebate, with savings of $5.00 off. Dimmer switches are a great investment for homeowners as they provide flexibility, reduce energy cost, enhance convenience, and aesthetic.
Dimmer switches provide flexibility in the output of light to suit different activities, occasions, and to accommodate different people. You can enhance the level of light when engaging in task oriented activities such as preparing meals, or reading and use a lower level of light for a more comfortable setting such as when you are engaging in conversation. In addition, you can increase the level of light to assist those that have mature eyes that may need more light for visibility.
One of the ways dimmer switches help reduce energy cost is having the ability to control the amount of light being used at a given time. When lighting is dimmed by 25%, the lifespan of the bulbs can last up to four times longer, and can potentially save 20% on electricity.
Since dimmers help extend the life of bulbs, it also provides convenience of not having to constantly change the bulb. In addition, certain dimmers allow you to adjust light from any room of the home, which also provides you with a sense of security.
Lastly, dimmers can also enhance the aesthetics of a space by emphasizing contrasts, or creating a welcoming ambience with a moderate level of light to creates a soft glow.
There is a limit of 10 items per customer for single-pack products and a limit of 5 items per customer for multi-pack products.
