Lighting can help dramatically change the look of a space into something extraordinary. LEDs with a minimalist design were chosen for this home that exudes a crisp, open concept design that incorporates earthy tones, along with wood and stone detailing.
Here are some product highlights from this stunning renovation:
In keeping with the minimalist aesthetic of the kitchen, the Manette Pendants from Tech Lighting were chosen. The Manette has a cylinder smoked glass shade accentuated with a di-cast metal band.
Multiple Manette pendants were used to help evenly distribute light across a twelve foot island, which also provides direct task lighting for food preparation.
To further elevate the ambience in the kitchen, tape lighting was placed under the island overhang and also around the bar area to help accentuate features and distinguish varying depths in the space.
The minimalist aesthetic is carried over in the dining room with the Parallax Suspension from Tech Lighting. LED luminaries are spread across, creating an appearance of a night sky. The sleek linear design embodies modernity and ties together surrounding modern elements of glass and wood.
Parallel to the dining table is a featured artwork that is accentuated with Low Voltage Recessed Pot Lights from Juno Lighting. The pot lights provide 75 degree adjust-ability to help aim beams of light. The pot lights also help accentuate and maintain the integrity of the artwork, allowing the colours to stand out.
The In-Wall Fixtures from Eurofase provide functionality and aesthetic appeal to an otherwise forgotten space. The accent lights have a minimalist linear design finished in satin nickel. The up-lighting and down-lighting provide guidance when walking up and down the stairs, and also helps accentuate the stone wall.
In the powder room, an LED Vanity Fixture from Kuzco was used. The vanity light is designed with frosted glass with polished chrome bands that provide a decorative element. The frosted glass helps reduce glare, while offering an even spread of lighting across the vanity ideal for grooming applications.
To help further enhance the ambience in the powder room, LED tape lighting was used under the ledge of the vanity to help accentuate the depth and provide additional lighting.
In the main bathroom, the Vogue Vanity Light from Modern Forms was used. The sleek design of the Vogue Vanity compliments the aesthetic of the room, while the frosted glass helps prevent glare and also helps evenly distribute light across the face.
The Vogue Sconces from Modern Forms was used in the ensuite. Three Vogue sconces were mounted vertically on the mirror due to its larger scale, which provides a balance of light to the entire face.
The Anello Flushmount from Kuzco creates the perfect minimalist statement in the foyer. This flush-mount has smooth lines while incorporating natural elements such as walnut with a frosted acrylic diffuser. The breaks between the bands allows light to peak through, stimulating visual interest.
